Choosing a Screen Name

When you register as a LivePerson expert we ask that you choose a screen name. A screen name is a nickname or alias - the name that you wish to be known by on LivePerson. Your screen name should be unique, and must be chosen according to the following guidelines:

  • It must be 3-26 characters long.
  • It may ONLY contain letters, digits, spaces( ), commas(,), dots(.), and underscores(_).

  • Your screen name should either be your name or a name that reflects your expertise. For example, if you are a Pediatrician, and you are registered under the "Health & Medicine" category, then you could choose a screen name such as: Dr. A. Johnson or ChildDoc.
  • Note that experts in the Professional Counseling category must use their real name as their LivePerson screen name.

Your screen name can be changed at any time through the Account Details section of your My LivePerson Menu. Please keep in mind that your clients will recognize you by your screen name, and changing your screen name may adversely affect your "branding". Your screen name may also be used to create your Friendly URL, a direct link to your most prominent expert profile page. Learn more about LivePerson's Friendly URL here.
