My Expert Service

Relationships can be in crisis for many reasons because they can involve people with different personalities, ways of interpreting situations, priorities, sexual needs, values, and even cultural differences. Many problems can be resolved by improved communication and negotiation, but some may be beyond repair and, unfortunate as it may be, one or both parties will be better off ending or re-defining the relationship.
I can give you an objective assessment of your situation and practical advice on how to address it. I am supportive and non-judgmental.
I have 28 years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist as well as as12 years as a life coach. I have served over 1200 clients on this site since 2010. In addition, I have had an academic career as a university-based sociologist who pioneered a course in the sociology of human sexuality and taught it for 25 years. Finally, I am a trained mediator, having skills that can help couples resolve conflicts.
Although most of my clients are in the United States, I have helped many from other parts of the world. Many problems are universal, but some require an awareness of cultural differences. My sociological training, extensive reading and travel to all continents give me a deeper understanding of problems in relationships that may be affected by cultural factors and cultural differences between individuals in a relationship. I have served clients from over fifty different counties throughout the world.
