My Expert Service

I have 28 years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist as well as 14 years as a trained life coach. In addition, I have had an academic career as a professor of sociology who pioneered a course in the sociology of human sexuality and taught it for 25 years. Very often people focus on the need to learn from relationships that have ended, but one can learn too much as well as too little. Being hyper-vigilant and untrusting can create as many problems as not learning from the past.
I have written an article in the Huffington Post about the psychological benefits of beginning to date again soon after a breakup or divorce and why so-called "rebound relationships" are not doomed to fail.
I use cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches to help people change their lives by focusing on the experiences, thoughts, feelings, and actions that hinder achieving their goals and to think and act in a wise manner.
