I am a health professional, a licensed psychotherpist, who also has a Ph.D in the social sciences and has training in research methodology and statistics. I have long been interested in both why people choose alternative medicine to address their physical and/or psychological problems, but also which of these interventions is demonstrated by high quality research to actually deliver on their promises.
If you want to know whether the product or service you are, or contemplating,utilizing, has merit or will simply be an expense without benefit I will do the necessary research and provide you with an unbiased answer in a short time. The gold standard, and what I seek, are well-designed studies involving control groups. Unfortunately most alternative treatments are promoted without rigorous evaluation, but some have and been found to be helpful for limited problems. I can give you the pros and cons before you spend unwisely.
