My Expert Service

I have 28 years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist as well as 14 years as a life coach. In addition, I have had an academic career as university-based sociologist who pioneered a course in the sociology of human sexuality and taught it for 25 years.
Both as a therapist and in my academic career I have become knowledgeable about a wide variety of sexual dysfunctions, including performance concerns and lack of sexual desire. I am also familiar with issues related to sexual orientation and the concerns of sexual minorities, e.g., LGBTQIA, paraphilias (fetishes), BDSM. I should also say that my academic background has sensitized me to the role that culture and the media play in shaping sexuality and our perceptions of normalcy. Many people believe their sexual behavior is out of the mainstream when it is not. I am particularly concerned with the misuse of the concept "sex addiction," which may be applicable to only a small percentage of people who are either believed by others or themselves to have such a condition.
