My Expert Service

Along with over 25 years in the fields of Education and Social Services, I have successfully managed two businesses throughout the years. I ran my own pre-school for 7 years. As part of my responsibities I was required to create and promote the program, hire staff, as well as train and evaluate them. This experience afforded me the opportunity to create written publications informing the community regarding the importance of early education. As the owner of this pre-school, I adequately addressed all concerns regarding the program with sensitivity and innovation. Currently I am self employed as a Private Mental Health Worker,Mental Health Worker; Member of (OACCPP -Ontario Association of Consultants, Counselors, Psychometrists, & Psychotherapists), and as such have devoted myself to counseling, coaching and consulting.

Experience & Qualifications

Aside from being a world wide expert on Live Person, another current component of my business involves provides ongoing crisis intervention, grief and trauma counseling, along with parent coaching at Centrepointe House, an institute dedicated to assisting people in their efforts to achieve a sense of well-being, personal growth and healing. History: In addition to individual counseling at the Saint Paul’s University Counselling Centre, I provided supportive counseling at the Well (a drop in day centre for woman and children). In my role as a volunteer floor and outreach worker at The Well, I offered immediate response through crisis intervention, and outreach. I was given the opportunity to facilitate referrals to other social services whenever appropriate. Aside from connecting the woman with these resources, I provided them with advocacy. Among the some of the issues which these woman were dealing with included homelessness, low income, housing issues, abuse, trauma, suicide ideology as well as issues of sexual identity. As the founder and director of a pre-school program I was a mentor to parents, who would often seek me out to discuss concerns regarding their children. I worked together with them to modify their child’s behavior, teach them new health promoting skills, and connect them with parent child resources in the Ottawa community. I have developed several methods of assisting children on an emotional level by using such skills as role playing and art therapy.
